Scripture reminds us that our ways are not the ways of God. Perhaps that is why as humans, we struggle with the concept of God's involvement in on our lives when so many things go wrong and we have to experience pain and loss ( i.e. Why do bad things happen to good people?). We often expect God to react and respond in our terms and become disappointed when he does not. Ecclesiastes offers this advice: "As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things".
